Raoul's bar, Jericho
The best cocktail bar in Oxford! The biggest choices of cocktails all made beautifully with fresh fruits (You don't taste the alcohol and I can confirm that they put some). Nice music as well. Price for one cocktail is around 5.50-6 pounds. Usually very crowded on Friday and Saturday night. Since this is small place, it is usually quite hard to find a seat on these nights. Any other time is fine.

Aziz
This is one of the best Indian restaurant in Oxford and probably the best on Cowley road. I have been there couple of times with my colleagues and friends and I have never been disappointed by the food. The papadums come with very nice sauce. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed and the service is also good.

The Mission Mexican Grill
If you are in town and want to eat something cheap, quick that would fill you up other than a burger or a cold sandwich, I would strongly recommend this place. You can eat in or take away and one burrito/fajita/tacos costs only 5 pounds. You choose your fillings i.e. meat (chicken, pork or beef) and your sauce (chili, guacamole) etc... You can also get nachos to go with it. They sell corona beer too if you are a fan. Service is very quick. (this is like a Mexican subway it you like) Mexican food is very rare in Oxford so if you want to eat something like that, this is the place to go.

Manos, Jericho
This is a greek delicatessen where you can eat in or takeaway. They have a good range of dishes and you can tell that they use fresh vegetables. The food is fine and good value. For something like around 7 pounds you can have a plate with moussaka and greek salad. They also have nice apetizers e.g olives, houmous, tsatsiski. They also sell dessert. I strongly recommend the galactoburiko made from semolina and milk I believe. The staff is very nice and polite. They close quite early in the evening so it is better to go there for lunch or early dinner.

One of the best Indian restaurant in Oxford. Fine cuisine. A bit more expensive than the one on Cowley road. Lots of choices from the menu. Good fish starters and very good service.

Mario's, Cowley Road
Good italian restaurant on Cowley road ran by Italian people. You can see them making the pizzas. It is very good value and I have never been disapointed by the food. The pizzas and pasta are good. Aubergine alla mario (baked aubergine with cheese) is worth to try. The bruschetta is also very nice. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Jamie's Italian
This is the only restaurant I've actually visited in Oxford (I was quite curious to see what it was like), and wasn't too disappointed: the food was good although a bit pricey to my taste, the menu was quite diverse and there was a good selection of wine. The italian theme works very well and gives the restaurant a cosy feeling. Worth a try!

The fishes, Botley
This is a gastro-pub in the Botley area, quite far from town, kind of in the middle of the countryside. They have a massive and beautiful garden so that you can chill out having a drink ouside. The atmosphere is very nice. It is a fancy and relaxed type of pub. The food is very nice. I recommend ordering the appetizers by getting a platter with Paté, cheese, olives, bread etc... which are very good. They have a wide range of dishes and specials. On Wednesday, they usually do a steak night where you can order different types of beef steak served with onion rings, chips or mashed potatoes and salad for a good price. Service is also good. This is a very popular pub even though it is far from town so better book in advance for food during the weekend. (There is a car park so that you can drive there) One of my favourite place in Oxford!

Isis Tavern, Iffley lock
This is a nice pub near the river. You can reach it by either walking or cycling along the river. You can play skittles or aunt Sallie there. They have a big garden with tables so it is nice to have a drink there when the weather is good. There used to be a separate cafe in the boat house next to it where the food was amazaing. The people of the cafe now works in the Isisa Tavern therefore the homemade cakes, scones etc... are very good.

Al Salam, Park End Street
Lebanese restaurant with lots of choices of cold or warm mezze(tapas) e..g houmous, haloumi, feta cheese salad, spicy sausages etc... Alternatively, you can have rice with some chicken or lamb skewers. The food is nice and good value. The atmosphere is relaxed and they sometimes hire a belly dancer. You can just drop by and have a tea or shisha in the back garden.

Bankgok House, High Bridge Street
Very nice staff and food. Wide choices of dumplings, curries, meaty or vegetarian dishes. Thai green curry is very nice indeed. Try the coconut rice, I really love it. One of my favourite Thai restaurant with Chiang Mai kitchen. They have special menus for large group of people so it is good if you want a night out with your colleagues.

Las iguanas, park end street
The atmosphere is nice and the food is ok. (My friend got one dish cold once there though when it was supposed to be warm) It is a chain so you won't find the finest food there but they are usually ok. I would not go there if I want to have a nice meal but more for having a drink since it is a nice atmosphere. (The cocktails are sometimes too strong)

Jamie's Italian, Georges street
I have been there couple of times and have mixed opinions. The fist time we had to wait for a long time between the starter and main. The second time the service was ok. The food is good but a bit pricy. They have very good and original pasta dishes. Appetizers are also quite nice. I am not so keen on the atmosphere though as I find it quite noisy and cheesy. Note that you can not book a table there so you always see a massive queue outside the restaurant at peak times.
Budget: £10 to £20 per person

Bilesh, Botley
This is probably the best Indian in the Botley area. The staff is nice and the food is good and not too expensive. You can also grab take away if you prefer not to sit in but the restaurant is nice and clean.

Yo sushi, George Street
I went there only once and I didn't really like it. I guess if you really want to have sushis quickly, it is quite handy to go there since it is right in the centre and you can just help yourself since the sushis are made in advance. However, sushis were not fresh at all when I went there. (To be honest, I think you can get he same quality in Sainsbury's). This is not as cheap as it seems either since you need to eat couple of sushis before feeling full and can result in the bill being higher that you expected in the end.
Budget: £5 to £10 per person
