# The Weave and the Window > A five-part essay series with two appendices by Pascal Belouin: one whole, parsed into many finite minds. Connection as the bedrock of the real — with space, time, and communion as its three faces — a quantum toy model, a single falsifying brain experiment, the near-death evidence, and the philosophical company it keeps. The complete prose of every page, concatenated for machine reading, is at [llms-full.txt](https://belouin.com/the-weave-and-the-window/llms-full.txt). ## How this was made How this was made: this series is the product of a long collaboration with AI models. The argument, the physics, the formal model, and the experiment that could falsify it were all generated by guiding a model through draft after draft — and the author’s contribution is not the ideas but the steering: the questions pressed, the weak links flagged, the standard each pass is held to, and the judgement of when it is right. It is offered in that spirit, partly as the case itself and partly as a demonstration of what these models can produce in this register when a person keeps nudging. As the models sharpen, the series will be rewritten against them. The technical claims here have not been independently checked, and should be read as what the model constructs, not as settled results. ## The five parts - [Part I — The Weave and the Window](https://belouin.com/the-weave-and-the-window/the-weave-and-the-window.html): The essay. Connection as the bedrock of the real; space, time, and communion as its three faces; how the One becomes many — and why it divides at all — and what would prove the whole picture wrong. - [Part II — Bounded Continuity](https://belouin.com/the-weave-and-the-window/bounded-continuity.html): The technical companion. How one timeless quantum state parses into many bounded subjects, why decoherence is no objection, the Markov-blanket boundary, evolution as the deepening of the parsing, and an exactly-solved toy model that derives the bending window. - [Part III — The Window](https://belouin.com/the-weave-and-the-window/the-window.html): The empirical companion. The single experiment whose result separates this theory from the deflationary account, a comparative test across species, the floor where it bets on plenitude, and the honest place where the knife might not reach. - [Part IV — The Return](https://belouin.com/the-weave-and-the-window/the-return.html): The phenomenological companion. The near-death experience as the one natural experiment in re-parsing — convergence across psychedelics and cultures, past lives and life reviews read structurally, the distressing cases, and the limit no testimony can cross. - [Part V — The Company It Keeps](https://belouin.com/the-weave-and-the-window/the-company-it-keeps.html): The philosophical companion. The parallels this picture converges with — Bohm, Whitehead, Huxley, German idealism, Schopenhauer, Teilhard, Hoffman — the closest current view in Kastrup’s idealism by dissociation, and the one disagreement, with Jung, worth keeping sharp. ## Appendices - [The Corpus](https://belouin.com/the-weave-and-the-window/data-supplement.html): Data supplement · Exploratory. 5,623 near-death testimonies scored item by item and held against the wager — the conjunction tested by where it breaks, the distress dissociation that outlives the rising-tide objection, the cross-instrument void result, and a floor that leans toward fullness. - [One Cut, Two Consequences](https://belouin.com/the-weave-and-the-window/one-cut-two-consequences.html): Build supplement · Part II. A free-fermion build that gives the toy's subject a space to live in — geometry recovered from mutual information (dimension by ball-growth, curvature by Ollivier–Ricci), the bounded subject's bending window in three agreeing measures including an exact fermionic log-negativity, and the correlation showing good subjects are the compact patches of the emergent space. ## Full text - [Full text, single file](https://belouin.com/the-weave-and-the-window/llms-full.txt): every page concatenated as plain markdown.
