using the pin&play interface for games and entertainment

Conceptual Design

Presentation

Using the findings of the literature review to understand the domain, as well as considering the constraints of the Pin&Play framework, the following seven conceptual designs were compiled.

Each conceptual design highlights details of possible applications using Pin&Play at a conceptual level. They will focus on the type of activities that may be carried out within a conceptual domain as well as different types of users. Each conceptual design will therefore have a range of potential prototype applications. They will also suggest some basic requirements at a macro level.

Within each conceptual design, there are a number of prototype applications possible from any given concept. These prototypes are specific, contextual examples of a given use within the concept of a given area. Therefore, it is possible that the user focus, specific activity and even interaction methods may vary between the prototypes, whilst still falling under the conceptual idea in terms of goals and motivation.

The idea is to create a large number and range of low fidelity prototypes that can be analysed and reviewed by peers and seniors. Whilst there has been development and thought into the feasibility of many features, specific details may be withheld given they are still prototypes, and will need fine tuning if further developed.
